You can't pretend it isn't there. And if you try to stand rigid against it, chances are it's going to knock you flat.
The secret isn't getting over the wave. The secret is learning how to move through it.

Take a few moments to identify the wave you've been trying to outrun.
Maybe it's grief.
Maybe it's fear.
Maybe it's regret, disappointment, anxiety, or an old wound that still hurts.
Name it.
Because when you can identify the wave, you can prepare for it. And when you're prepared for it, you're no longer powerless against it.
You may not be able to stop the waves from coming. But you can learn how to move through them!
