Season 1 Finale Says ADIOS 2020!

I honestly hesitated calling it a finale because, well, finales are supposed to be something grandiose, something that everyone's looking forward to.

They can't wait to see what happens at the end of the series.

Well, that's not what this is going to be.

This is going to be kind of lame if you're comparing it to your uh favorite show on HBO or Netflix.

So this is more going to be kind of like my way of saying thank you, and my way of uh giving you a game plan for where the podcast is headed as we march our way into 2021.

2020, it was a doozy of a year.

I think we all know that.

But you know what?

There was some good things that came out of it.

And one of those was, well, this very podcast that you're listening to.

My travel agency, well, it took a hard hit in 2020.

I canceled more vacations than I had ever canceled before.

It was pretty disheartening.

And I have to say, starting up the podcast, it was something that really saved my life.

It really kept me sane, kept me busy, gave me something to focus on.

And um, you know, I have to, I have to just be thankful for that.

And I think all of us have to find some way of finding some good out of a bad situation.

And, you know, let's face it, 2020 was a rough year for all of us.

But you know what?

Even in the worst of situations I've learned in life, there is good that comes out of it.

You just have to look, and sometimes you got to look a little bit harder than others.

And um, I hope that you too feel like uh getting to check out this new podcast of mine has been something that's been good for you.

I know I've enjoyed it.

And um, to be honest, right now I'm just kind of so excited for going into 2021.

I decided to go ahead and take a break right now as we're coming up into the holiday season.

And, you know, quite honestly, I want to just be present in the moment.

I, you know, I love podcasting, I love my travel agency, but I think this year has taught us more than ever before the importance of living in the moment, the importance of our family, of our friends, and just enjoying life.

And you know what?

That's what I want to do to round out the end of the year is I want to just do that.

I've got presents still to order on Amazon.

I'm actually going to take a vacation.

So, yes, I even have packing to do.

I'm not taking a vacation all year.

I'm like, you know what?

If I've got to wear a mask and wrap myself in some bubble wrap, darn it, I'm going on a vacation.

Now, it's nothing grandiose, just a awesome road trip up to see some family members and search out some cooler weather than we get here in Florida.

But nonetheless, we are leaving the zip code and I couldn't be more excited.

But then there's also the other stuff.

Christmas.

Christmas, I love Christmas time.

Baking Christmas cookies with my grandmother and uh all that other fun stuff like decorating the Christmas tree and, you know, unwrapping presents, giving presents.

You know, it's all fun.

So I just thought right now is a perfect opportunity to go ahead and take a break for a few weeks and um give me a chance to get things going and head into 2021 with a game plan to make next year's podcast season even better.

So when we return in 2021, we will be kicking off season number two of the podcast, and it's gonna be even better than the first.

I just know it.

One big thing that's gonna be different about the podcast going in to next year is that the Lowdown on Life and Travel now has a sponsor.

The other thing though is this podcast is as much as I enjoy doing it, I do it because I hope that you enjoy it.
